Meet Tim!
Exciting news on the TreebeardSound Productions page here! Check it out!
I’ve been a performing acoustic guitarist/songwriter since the 70′s and was classically trained at the Chicago Musical College-Roosevelt University, but was drawn to the folk roots of Chicago’s Old Town live music venues. Now living in Colorado and inspired by the mountains, my sales career in the past I’m working to augment my performing schedule, please stay tuned to my events tab for upcoming gigs.
My influencers include Dylan, Taylor, Young, Lightfoot, Gorka, Mitchell, Prine and many others. I appreciate the attentive, small audience of a house concert and also perform at open mics, breweries, coffeehouses, wine bars, festivals, Meet-Ups, restaurants, art openings and art shops. These communities/owner operators are usually committed to art, so I support them!
As a boy, I was struck by the imagery & characters of Middle Earth in JRR Tolkien’s “The Hobbit” and “The Lord of the Rings” trilogy. Treebeard, the old “Ent” (Trees enlivened by elf spirits), is my favorite character. I love trees and forests and find solace in them and donate some of my playing profits to reforestation as they are the struggling lungs of our planet. I want my grandchildren to have trees to climb! I named my Sound Production company for this namesake.
“You must understand, young Hobbit, it takes a long time to say anything in Old Entish. And we never say anything unless it is worth taking a long time to say.”
